Over 83,000 people have now joined Save Our Reds.
And over the past few days, something remarkable has happened.
More than 600 supporters have taken part in our poll after red squirrels were excluded from the Bank of England's shortlist for future banknotes.
The response has been overwhelming.
One message came through loud and clear:
People care deeply about red squirrels.
Not as a niche conservation issue.
Not as a political issue.
But as part of Britain's natural heritage.
That passion gives us hope.
Because while the Bank of England may have overlooked red squirrels this time, together we can make sure decision-makers cannot ignore them elsewhere.
🟥 Next stop: 100,000 supporters
We're now setting our sights on a huge milestone.
100,000 supporters would make Save Our Reds one of the largest wildlife campaigns in Britain.
And we need your help.
Three simple actions:
✅ Share the petition
change.org/save-our-reds
✅ Contact your MP
We've created a simple template letter which you can personalise and send in just a few minutes:

Find your MP:

Please ask them to support stronger legal protection for red squirrels and better enforcement of existing wildlife laws.
🐿️ Recruit one new supporter
Just one.
If every supporter persuaded one friend, neighbour or family member to sign, we would smash through 100,000 signatures.
The science is clear.
What is missing is delivery.
Let's keep going.
And one final thing...
Keep an eye on your inbox later this month.
We have something special planned for supporters and wildlife lovers alike. 🐿️
Thank you for standing with Britain's red squirrels.
