Shanda Herrera has been working in education for well over thirty years. Becoming what we know now as the principal of Pioneer Valley in 2011. As many of us know, she recently was presented a warning notice of possible termination at the end of July. She has served as our principal for over thirteen years. As to why she was given this notice is unknown and the Board of Education will not present the cause as to why she is possibly being terminated. This petition is to hopefully make some difference in this matter, signing it will strengthen our argument as to why Shanda Herrera is an amazing principal that deserves to stay at Pioneer Valley. She has been a panther since the doors were first opened. She has put in the effort and leadership that is required and necessary for an amazing school. She has continuously shown respect and love for her staff, teachers and very own students expressing kindness to each and everyone of us. It’s only natural that we show the same love for her. Every single signature will put us one step closer to hopefully saving our principal.
