Save Our Principal
The Issue
Please read the attached letter and sign our petition to help us save our principal! Thank you!
To Whom It May Concern,
I am reaching out in an effort to hopefully bring Eyesouth Partners to our area, and I would like to provide a little background information on the "WHY." For the past 18 years, I have served as a teacher in Centerville, Texas, at our local elementary school. Recently, our campus acquired a new principal, Kristin Moffitt, who is absolutely amazing and exactly what our students and staff need to succeed. As a result, our community was crushed when we learned our leader would not be returning to us in the Fall of 2024.
Kristin is married to an ophthalmologist, Chad Moffitt, who is a partner with your company. Several years ago, the couple purchased property in our community with the intention of eventually moving this way. Last year, Kristin and Chad took a leap of faith when the principal position opened up. She moved to Centerville; Chad remained in Friendswood where his practice is located. Because Chad has happily worked for your company for over a decade, he inquired about the possibility of opening a practice closer to Centerville in order to be with his wife. Sadly, there are no plans to open an eye center anywhere near our community.
After much thought and research, I decided to reach out to your company. Centerville is located near Madisonville, Texas, a city that does not have any eye care centers. There is definitely a market and need for an ophthalmologist in this area. Citizens from our community shop in Madisonville often and pass through Madisonville on the way to Bryan/ College Station or Huntsville, Texas, as well. With the lack of eye care in our area, I humbly ask that you consider placing an eye care center in Madisonville, Huntsville, Bryan, or College Station, TX. The Moffits are an asset to our community, and they both bring light into the world of everyone they touch. Thank you in advance for your consideration in this matter.
Sincerely,
Angela Sullivan
