We need your help to save this mature tree from getting chopped down. The history of this tree is that it was pruned very severely, and then sold to a developer.  The developer sought to cut it down under the reason that the tree will not survive due to the bad pruning. Fast forward a year later, the tree has survived both the pruning and the surrounding construction. Now, the developer has decided to chop it down as they do not consider the tree “accretive” to the property of the neighborhood. 

Given a chance to recover, this tree will provide significant amounts of shade, habitat for native wildlife, reduce water runoff (important for drought stricken California) and have a positive impact on climate change. 

It will take approximately 9-10 years to break even on the climate impact, even if the tree is replaced, and the new tree will need significant amounts of water to survive.

Please help us make our voices heard, and tell the developers and county officials that approved the tree removal permit that it's not too late to change their mind and support the community instead of harming it.
