Our neighbourhood hub in Warrington has been an invaluable resource for many families, including mine. It's where our kids have learned to swim, gaining not only a life-saving skill but also a passion for fitness. It's also where I've seen them grow in confidence, social engagement, and overall well-being. The gym and other facilities have provided significant mental health benefits for our community, offering a space for stress relief, interaction, and physical well-being.

However, this vital community asset is now under threat due to proposed cost of renovation. Closing it down would deprive countless residents of Warrington of a safe and encouraging environment to learn, exercise, and socialise. It's not just a building; it's a second home for many of us, where bonds are made, skills are developed, and personal growth is encouraged.

It's essential that we act now to preserve this space that contributes so significantly to our physical and mental health. 

Local community centres are crucial, now more than ever, as they provide safe and inclusive spaces that are indispensable for the overall well-being of residents in Warrington. We propose looking into public-private partnerships, community fundraising initiatives, and other forms of external investment to secure the necessary funds.
