For decades, our beloved disc golf course has been more than just an expanse of grass and trees; it's been a sanctuary for those looking to unwind, escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, and connect with nature and each other. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of Brown's Point (aka Buzzy's) this historic course holds countless memories of games played under a historic disc golf course. For decades a place to unwind with friends, by yourself or meet someone and join the game. Shame that it may turn into a boat launching  place and a parking lot without people enjoying the park.  sun, laughter shared with old friends, and new friendships kindled amid flying discs.

However, there is an imminent threat to our cherished course. Plans are underway to transform this gem into a boat launching place and a parking lot—a stark contrast to the tranquil heaven it currently is. This development not only risks destroying the charm of our park but also deprives the community of a unique recreational space that has been a source of joy for generations.

The significance of this disc golf course is not just in its age or history, but in the community it nurtures. It is a space where people from all walks of life come together in the spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition. It supports local biodiversity, offering a natural habitat for various flora and fauna.

Converting it into a parking lot and boat launch would disrupt this delicate ecosystem, increase urban sprawl, and rob future generations of the opportunity to experience nature’s beauty first-hand. Moreover, the introduction of motorized boat traffic poses a risk to the water quality of our local lakes and rivers, potentially leading to environmental degradation.
