The cafe in John Whitehead Park, is a family and dog friendly cafe providing affordable meals, snacks, sweet treats and hot/cold drinks, along with slush drinks and ice creams during the warmer months.

This petition is to save the cafe and its 4 fabulous staff members who are now facing redundancy.

We want the cafe to be open all year round, with consultation from park users and residents on how and when the cafe services are provided. 

Billingham Town Council, who remotely manage the cafe, have made the decision to close the Cafe between October and Easter, leaving park users without the cafe services, facilities or warm space.  In recent times the cafe opening hours have been unpredictable. We would request that residents are consulted and our suggestions taken into consideration by making the cafe accessible to everyone who wants to use it.
