Save our Biodiversity

Save our Biodiversity
The Issue
Did you know the Galapagos Island is an island that has many species that are unique. Most species have migrated and have adapted to the hot climate of the island. However, most species there are getting endangered really fast and are on the verge of being extinct. It should be mattering to us because with a few species gone, it could create an ecological imbalance that could harm humans in the process.
Major threats to the environment are pollution, global warming, and climate change. Most of these are not natural causes but caused by us and the only way of helping these animals is by fixing it ourselves.
Biodiversity like plants and animals are not just taking things from us but giving oxygen and sometime food as well. We all share the planet but yet we treat it like a dumpster not realizing that there are other living things too. We have to treat the world as well as the biodiversity around us with care as it is the most precious thing we have. Not only Galapagos but our own cities and countries from becoming a complete dumpster. According to a few studies found that about 48% of 70,000 species are facing decreasing populations due to human activities, while only 3% are seeing an increase in populations.
When we are together as one, we can make a huge difference to the world. Our biodiversity is the most valuable, but least appreciated.
