Dear Union Township Supervisor,

We as a community of families, home, and business owners come together in Agreement to Oppose this zoning proposal. It is clearly not appropriate on many levels for your intended site, “The Belleville Ballfields and Park”.
We believe that this reckless development will negatively affect village members, devaluing homes, and fundamentally change the character of this town, endanger human health, primarily children, and destroy the surrounding ecological systems. This does not even begin to address the destruction of the natural beauty God has blessed our valley with that so many are drawn to.
 There are many reasons this park and surrounding areas are so valuable to our community. Baseball has drawn people from all over Pennsylvania to our area for decades. This creates revenue for our local businesses. Local churches use this park. For example, Locust Grove hosts close to 200 children for a week for fun and sports activities. The Mifflin County Rec Soccer Club uses the exact space for practices. Homeschool families rely on this space for outdoor gatherings, activities, and learning. This area is used for family birthday parties and reunions. There are both the young and old who use the area daily for walking the path of almost exactly one mile. Many families, including my own, have created beautiful memories at this park and consider it “our own backyard”. 
 The risk and insurance liability outweigh any good. If this tower is erected, the serenity and beauty that many take pride in is gone. The pollinators that our surrounding agriculture relies on are gone! The trees that provide shade and clean air are gone. The families and memories are gone.
 Numerous scientific studies and publications have proven relevance for concern and shows that EMF effects ALL LIVING ORGANISMS. These effects include increase in cancer risks, creates cellular stress, increases developmental genetic damages, creates structural and functional changes in reproductive systems, and has been linked to learning and memory problems. 
 This is a human rights issue. It is a widespread, systematic form of environmental pollution that poses long term threats to life and development. There are OTHER options for locations of this cell tower. There are other options to create revenue for our township. 
 Do you really want this monstrosity of harm and disruption to be your legacy?
