ARCH (Addiction Recovery Community Hillingdon) provides vital support to some of the most vulnerable people in our community. For many, recovery is about much more than attending appointments. It is about feeling safe, building trust, and accessing support in an environment that has served local people for many years.

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) plans to relocate ARCH from Old Bank House in Uxbridge to George Street. While we understand that services sometimes need to move, we believe this decision should not proceed until it has been shown to be safe, suitable, and properly informed by the people who rely on the service.

Through Freedom of Information requests and discussions with staff and service users, serious concerns have been raised about the proposed relocation. These include questions about safety, accessibility, the impact on vulnerable people, and whether meaningful consultation with service users has taken place.

Old Bank House is more than just a building. It has been a place of recovery, hope, and stability for thousands of people over many years. Many current and former service users believe its location and environment play an important role in helping people engage with treatment and maintain recovery.

We are calling on CNWL and NHS North West London Integrated Care Board to:

Pause the relocation of ARCH.
Publish all completed safety and impact assessments.
Carry out meaningful consultation with service users, carers, staff, and the local community.
Demonstrate that any new location is at least as safe, accessible, and suitable as Old Bank House before any permanent move takes place.
This petition is not about opposing change for the sake of it. It is about protecting vulnerable people and ensuring that decisions affecting their care are transparent, evidence-based, and made with those who will be most affected.
