Public relations are being placed above people and pets at The Animal Foundation. After a surprise visit to the shelter, city council members described dogs sitting in "dry and fresh waste" with overturned bowls of food and water next to them and soiled blankets. Litters of kittens are walked into the euthanasia room, dogs are trapped outside in dog runs in the Las Vegas heat, birds are starving because they're not being fed the appropriate size pellets - animals are neglected and starving. Meanwhile, Hilarie Grey collects a quarter million dollar salary as the CEO of The Animal Foundation.

When animals are separated from their owners, The Animal Foundation does not notify owners and when owners show up to claim their pets, The Animal Foundation will tell the owner the pet isn't there. They euthanize friendly, healthy animals. Animals hit by a car and with two compound fractures sit in cages, without pain management or medical attention, forced to "tough it out" while their owners frantically demand to see a pet The Animal Foundation claims isn't there.

Former employees have come forward, saying they were asked to write up false reports to make it seem like the shelter has things under control. Recently, the shelter has announced that nearly 80 of its dogs were showing signs of canine pneumovirus, a highly contagious respiratory illness.

This shelter is funded using millions of tax dollars from the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, and North Las Vegas and Hilarie Grey profits $250,000.00 per year from the suffering and abuse of these animals. Sign this petition to have Hilarie Grey removed and an CEO with animal shelter experience put in her place. A public relations executive with no experience should not be in control of tens of thousands of animals with these disastrous consequences.
