Save Mr. Rosa from Losing his Teaching Job!
The Issue
I am writing to express my strong support for the rehiring of Mr. Patrick Rosa, a teacher whose impact on both students and the school community is immeasurable. Mr. Rosa has dedicated countless hours to teaching business classes and has become a beloved figure to many of us, helping students grow and thrive. His dedication to the business department, his ability to engage with all students, and his commitment to each individual's academic growth is unlike any educator I have ever had before. The skills that he has taught me and many others are invaluable when it comes to our education. As an exceptional DECA Advisor, he has consistently led students to the state and national levels of competition and has sparked a passion for business and entrepreneurship in each of them. Each year he has guided many students to stay involved in our business department and they have gone on to major in areas such as finance, marketing, and business management at some of the top business schools in the country, notably Indiana, South Carolina, Michigan, Binghamton, North Carolina, Ohio State, Lehigh, and many others. Additionally, as the facilitator of the Virtual Enterprise class, he has guided our firm, Kahuna, to remarkable success—achieving national recognition and ranking among the top 50 firms in the country and top 12 in the state. Despite his proven excellence and our approved budgets year after year, the fact that the school is unable to retain him due to enrollment issues is nothing short of ridiculous. Laying off an educator who has helped so many students grow and succeed doesn't make sense and it will have a negative impact on our Smithtown community and district as a whole. Business teachers all over Long Island are shocked at this news as they have all viewed Mr. Rosa the same way all of us do. Mr. Rosa is an irreplaceable asset, and his contributions to our academic and extracurricular achievements should not be overlooked. I urge you to reconsider this decision and reinstate him to continue his invaluable work with students. Please stand with us for what is right and fair and allow Mr. Rosa to continue making an impact on his students. SIGN THIS PETITION TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT IN SAVING MR. ROSA!
