Prohibit stripmining for lignite coal in the Chickasawhay floodplain of Kemper County, Mississippi. Stop the ungodly rape of Mother Earth in the Bible Belt and the destruction of Chickasawhay floodplain. Do not use draglines to stripmine and rape Mother Earth. Removing lignite coal will forever destroy the natural filtering system of the aquifer which took millions of years to create.

Operating a power plant fueled by lignite coal stripmined from the Chickasawhay floodplain is irresponsible, unhealthy and not in the best interest of the general public. This is especially true in a time when our state and nation should be investing in renewable, one-hundred percent (100%) clean energy like solar, wind, geothermal, hydroelectric, and creating new jobs by stimulating energy conservation industries.
