School is officially back in session at Memphis Street Academy (MSA), and with it, a renewed sense of purpose and momentum. The start of a new year always brings energy, but this year it feels different. More urgent. More visible. More united.

That’s because even as questions remain about our long-term future, one thing is certain: MSA is open, enrolling, and fully committed to our students and families.

We’ve kicked off the year with a full range of support programs that go beyond the classroom — from our school-based health center, to evidence-based academic interventions, to our English language courses for parents. And now, we’re expanding even further.

This fall, we launched the Wildcat Pantry: Neighbors Helping Neighbors, One Meal at a Time. This student-led initiative, powered by our partnership with Caring for Friends, and supported by Rep. Mike Driscoll and Rep. Jim Harrity, gives families access to weekly meals and groceries, and provides students a hands-on way to serve their community.

And people are taking notice. Coverage from Chalkbeat and Metro Philadelphia is helping amplify our message: MSA is not backing down — we’re leaning in and building stronger community ties than ever before.
