With the new school year approaching, we want to be clear: Memphis Street Academy (MSA) will remain open for the entire 2025–2026 academic year.
We understand how much uncertainty our community has faced, but through it all, MSA continues to stand strong. Our school has long been a stabilizing presence in the Kensington neighborhood, offering not only a safe place to learn, but also the essential services many families rely on. MSA remains committed to providing:
- A safe, inclusive learning environment
- Targeted reading and math support
- STEELS-aligned science curriculum
- School-based health care
- English language classes for parents
And this year, we’re expanding our role in addressing food insecurity. In partnership with Caring for Friends and Rep. Jim Harrity, we’re launching the Wildcat Pantry: Neighbors Helping Neighbors, One Meal at a Time—a student-run food pantry that will provide meals to families weekly.
Through every challenge, MSA continues to show up for its students and families, and we’re here to stay.
