I would like to preface by saying that I am in no way defending Mr. Spinetti or his actions. What he did is completely inexcusable and he deserves to be in prison. I can't even imagine what it was like for the victim(s) and I feel immense sorrow for them. 

Note: If any sort of proof that an official report to either Megan Carey or Steve Pohfal specifically was made about Spinetti confirming that they did know even to some extent of his inexcusable behavior before he was on trial then this petition will immediately be taken down and everyone redirected to the counter petition to get rid of Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal. Main Purpose: There is currently another petition that attempts to fire Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal from Terra Nova High School in Pacifica California due to the two of them supposedly protecting Paul Spinetti, who has recently been arrested for "felony charges related to lewd and lascivious sexual acts allegedly committed agaisnt a female student." That was directly taken from a statement by the Pacifica Police Department. There is currently no proof that suggests Megan Carey and/or Steve Pohfal have protected Paul Spinetti in any way. Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal should not lose their jobs until there is at least some proof that shows they knew about his illicit behavior and did nothing. Otherwise a misleading petition and false accusations could cause them to lose their jobs and could ruin their entire career as well if they are falsely accused of defending Paul Spinetti. There are also claims that Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal specifically will not keep students at Terra Nova safe, although again there is no proof that Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal are permitting unsafe environments at school.

Why Target Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey Specifically? The petition that hopes to rid Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal from Terra Nova High School targets only Steve and Megan specifically. There is no mention of any other staff, and there is no reason given to target these two in particular. Megan Carey is the principal, and Steve Pohfal is one of the vice principals, but why leave out the other Vice Principal at Terra Nova High School? What makes it that Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal are specifically believed to be at fault for Paul Spinett's actions? The other petition answers none of these questions at all. The other petition only states word for word the following: "Ms Carey and her little friend Steve are not ensuring or guaranteeing anyone the safety of their children. Someone needs to be held responsible. We need justice for the victim(s)." That is it. The other petition gives no specifics on why to blame Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey whatsoever and only claims that they are not ensuring the safety but again gives no specifics on why or how. Instead the other petition seems to be written in a way to rile everyone up by saying things like "we need justice for the victim," rather than actually stating any facts or evidence of any kind. 

TLDR: The other petition gives no reason why ridding Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal will protect students and targets the two of them for no specific reason, if the reason is to target the higher ups, why disclude the other Vice Principal at Terra Nova from the blame? This raises questions about the validity of the other petition. 

Paul Spinetti Rumors: Yes, there have always been rumors about Paul Spinetti being a creep or seemingly to favor girls in class. However, these have always been rumors or one off random stories and nothing specific or concrete. This is not something that specifically Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal knew about if they even did at all. Students probably told more of their  teachers about the rumors then the principal and one of the vice principals. Either way Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal should not be specifically held accountable for no looking into high school rumors and even if they should be, then there is no reason to attack Mega Carey and Steve Pohfal specifically rather every staff member that heard rumors and didn't say/do anything. And if rumors should be reported, what about someone like Timothy Adams? There are plenty of rumors about him as well. 

TLDR: There have always kinda been rumors about Paul Spinetti but all seemingly high school rumors and nothing concrete, also seemingly more reported to teacher’s rather then the principal and vice principal, no reason to attack Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal specifically. 

Above are my direct facts on why we need to save Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal, below dives deeper into questioning the validity of the other petition and why the other petition mqy not be what it appears. This is not quite as specifically concrete as the work above although it is still very relevant and important regarding this petition. 

Students' Personal Vendettas: So far an overwhelming number of students (and probably too) have signed the petition to get rid of Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal. Many students have personal Vendettas against both Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey due to them being very active around the school campus during the brunch and lunch breaks. Both Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal strongly enforce the rules, causing students to not like them very much. Here is a quote from a terra nova student when they first heard about the possibility of Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey getting fired "I mean I'm down to get Pohfal out. He sucks. He gave me detention." The reason this student got detention from Steve Pohfal is because they were caught off campus during school hours, a serious safety concern. Many students have this similar dislike for both Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal, and are more than happy to get rid of them. Parents only really know what they hear from their kids, and if everyone is claiming that Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey were protecting Paul Spinetti then of course parents will want to ensure their kids are safe. 

TLDR: Students do not like Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey since they are semi-strict rule enforcers at school and therefore students are happy to get them fired regardless of if they actually did anything wrong. 

LadyZuri Wilson: LadyZuri Wilson is a student at Terra Nova High School and is the person who has started the petition to get rid of Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal. Lady (as I will refer to her) is very well known for being extremely unreliable, untrustworthy, and causes problems at school constantly. Ask almost any student or staff that is not direct friends with her and they will tell you that she is a huge trouble maker and problem causer for lack of better words. Lady in particular has a huge vendetta against both Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal due to the amount of times she has gotten into trouble at school, therefore the situation with Paul Spinetti is the perfect excuse for her to start a petition that gets two of her least favorite staff fired. 

TLDR: LadyZuri Wilson, who started the "get rid of Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal" petition, is well known to be an unreliable source and has gotten in a lot of trouble at school. She has a personal vendetta against Steve and Megan, and the Paul Spinetti situation is the perfect excuse for her to start a petition that may get two of her least favorite staff members fired. 

Conclusion/Act Now: There is absolutely no current evidence that shows Megan Carey and/or Steve Pohfal guilty of protecting Paul Spinetti and/or providing an unsafe environment for students at Terra Nova High School. They do not deserve to lose their jobs and take the blame for no reason. Just because some students dislike them does not mean they deserve to be fired on the assumption that they were defending Paul Spinetti. The petition that hopes to get rid of Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal provides no factual evidence and instead hopes to rile up people who want justice. Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal already have enough on their plates with the Paul Spinetti incident, they don't need to worry about losing their jobs for no reason too.

Please consider signing to help save Megan Carey and Steve Pohfal of Terra Nova High School from a misleading petition that threatens to take their jobs and possibly ruin their career. 

Final note: Jeffery Gerunay is not my real name as I feel a lot of the students at school will be upset with me due to their dislike of Steve Pohfal and Megan Carey, although I believe in doing the right thing regardless of what other people think, and I would simply like to limit the social backlash against me.
