As wetlands across Navi Mumbai are being filed with plastic and cement debris there is no way for water to penetrate or go, so naturally, it will flood.

Here is what I want to say to Mr. Devendra Fadnais

I seriously like your promise of drought-free Maharashtra, which is an absolute necessity.

What about water security of us Urban dwellers? On one hand, even in this flooded rainy season and Khagharites and Panvelite are facing a water crisis.

And on other-hand, all-Natural water bodies wetlands and creeks are being closed for “development “how are we going to achieve anything??

Our PIL 88/2018 to save this waterbody and future of next-generation water reservoir in sector 18-19 is pending before Honorable Court and we are sure of justice.

This waterbody is in turn connected to Taloja Creek extension in Sector 17. This is getting systematically filed by builder lobby and whomsoever. This is a disaster in making, while we are spending crores of rupees in restoring Mithli river and now water projects, doesn't it make common sense to save what we got? And utilize these water resources for securing water for the community.

Isn't this a community property in a real sense, rather than some authority wanting to build buildings here?? I see development = disaster. Can you guarantee the safety of family’s posts doing this closure of waterbodies?? And who will be responsible for such a disaster in the future?

We are creating a “natural” calamity ourselves without thinking about future consequences.

My request is to save this from happening, before it’s too late Sir. I am sure anyone who is serious about solving water crisis issues and securing the future of people will save all such water bodies and save tons of public tax money from going to waste.

P.S: Meanwhile Please make swimming lesson free for us all Mumbai and Navi Mumbaikar because I for one see this coming for sure.
