It is more than a year wetland committee was formed.

The committee was formed based on the directive of the Thane District collector dates April 2017 for the protection of wetlands in Navi Mumbai and Konkan region  .

They met last August 2017 and "It was decided to deal with complaints linked to wetlands within 48 hours"

What are the OUTCOMES ?

Eminent committee member, Stalin D expressed dismay and urged co-members to take action he further says 

"It is a matter of shame and also of contempt of court. I have no hesitation in saying that we have failed to implement the court orders and have not fulfilled our mandate."

Court orders to stop dumping till the survey is done at the site.They did not stop and filled 2-3rd of the pond with toxic debris.

Is this committee even functional is a question that is answered by Stalin himself.

Update: Our case was listed for hiring at honorable court yesterday but did not come for hearing next date is 13th August 2018.

We cannot and should not give in to the pressure created by small and steady dumping by small hips of debris at the Kharghar sector 18-19 waterbody site and keep creating awareness, support and true citizenship to save future generations!
