The program Lyceum Academy at New Hanover High School is set to face changes in the 2025-2026 school year. Lyceum is a program that supports junior and senior students through the process of taking academically rigorous courses loads. However, this program means so much more to students than just the challenging courses offered. Student success is largely due to the support they receive from having their teachers for two years. The bonds built  during this time allows students to build a stable, supportive community that fosters growth and success. However, starting in the 2025-2026 school year changes are set for seniors to no longer be guaranteed classes with the teachers they established these bonds with. Lyceum is more than a group of students who take Advanced Placement courses, but a community centered around these bonds. The time to act is now. Please sign to help advocate for the class of 2026. Sign to help these students finish their high school career in Lyceum with teachers they established these bonds with.
