Save Louisville's Cherokee Golf Course

Save Louisville's Cherokee Golf Course
The Issue
Cherokee Golf Course is the fifth oldest municipal golf course in the United States. And as one of just three nine-hole courses in Louisville, it is one of the only places remaining for our high school boys and girls to practice golf and play matches. While the Olmsted Conservancy has proposed turning the course into parkland, Louisville is already blessed with more than 120 parks, including 409 acres at the existing Cherokee Park. Metro Council must save our oldest golf course...if not, we deprive our young people the opportunity to play a sport that is experiencing renewed growth and teaches valuable life skills!
