The law states that if you get caught with 1oz -5lbs or more than 5lbs you could face up to 30 years , the law also states if you get caught with heroin , doesn’t state an amount like cannabis , you ONLY face 1-10 years with most likely a $2500 fine and 12 months in jail. Both a class 5 felony !! 

This affects  people our people because we want the best for our children and ourselves , we want a better community. Whether you like cannabis or not you can agree it has a more positive impact than HEROIN ! It’s an herb , there are MANY different compounds to cannabis, the smell of cannabis has medical effects , they are called terpenes , which are found in fruit and veggies… so isn’t it fair to say that in moderation it can help people ? Isn’t it fair to say it ACTUALLY has medical benefits, where instead of taking 5 different pills you could use one of the cannabis compounds to fix any ailments you may have or mental health issues, what has heroin done for our people ? DESTROYED THEM ! They prescribe pain pills like it’s nothing , which kill people and our children , if a child got ahold of cannabis they would be fine , maybe anxious but they wouldn’t be hospitalized.

My point ? What are we teaching our children and those after us if we let this stand ? We NEED change and this is going to be THE START of a new beginning! Please help us rock this change and show the government what they are doing IS WRONG ! 

Now is the best time to act ! Don’t procrastinate, we don’t want to wait until it’s too late and they have our children thinking HEROIN IS OKAY !! It’s NOT ! SAVE  LIVES TODAY , and sign this petition to change the scheduling of cannabis and the consequences of indulging in something that HELPS NOT KILLS!

Me myself , I’m 3 Years in recovery I came from a family of addicts , choosing drugs over their own children and taking care of their selves, while destroying others lives by distributing these drugs. I’ve seen TEACHERS, wealthy people, police officers , just people you wouldn’t expect to have this problem , here I’ll even touch the millennial gen , your favorite tv show or atleast ONE you know of , jersey shore , Mike “The Situation “ has a drug problem , one he’s recovered from and one you may or may not have known about but the point behind stating this is most people think addicts are poor people , homeless people , people with HORRIBLE childhoods like myself but that’s not the case !! The way it’s been desensitized is insane ! This should be something EVERYONE FEARS the same way you fear Covid !! This can get ANYONE !
