We are a small independent live music venue that has been providing free entertainment in Newark Nottinghamshire  for years and now we are threatened to get our music license revoked, because one person that moved in recently is not happy with music that is coming from our venue. Also we are safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community in town and a home for Newark Steam Punk Society. We invite people to sign this petition objecting to any order or abatement which further restricts the playing of live music at The Flying Circus Newark.

We will fight with you because we simply cannot lose what is the centre of Steampunk in Newark. I know from the LGBGTQ+ community how important it is that the Flying Circus remains the Safe Zone for all including all of the Alt communities within. It supports many artists playing blues - and much more besides - in ways that make it so much more than merely a business. It’s all the more vital now that Brexit has made it so hard for UK artists to get work in continental Europe. If we had ten more such venues around the country, our grass-roots music scene would be 20 times healthier!'

The Blues Irregulars Band: 'This makes me SO mad! One of the very few truly excellent small venues for live music left in the Midlands area and some newbie has moved into the area (near a pub FFS!) and is complaining to the council about the 'noise' . These NIMBY types do not care that they are killing off live music venues in the UK! PLEASE PLEASE sign this petition The Flying Circus is a venue that Tony and partners have built over 10 years to the highest standard with love for live music seeping from the walls. They have through times good and bad built a great audience who support live music actively. In my experience playing venues large and small, gigging all over the world for over 40 years, venues like this are EXACTLY what this country needs.
