Dear Save Kongwak Supporters,
The developers have also lodged with the local council a request for a place of assembly permit for up to 130 people, essentially they want to start conducting weddings on the site, even before any construction work is done. That will of course involve liquor licensing, noise, live music, patron behaviour, traffic and parking issues just as their future mega plan will. Please consider emailling the local Council on:
council@southgippsland.vic.gov.au
in the next 24 hours to raise any concerns you have.
The developers want to claim that they can use the town hall, parking for their 130 place of assembly permit, and they also want to conduct their activities on Sundays which will compete with parking for the Sunday market - which is already insufficient.
To lodge your objections please Cut and paste some of the key bold issues above, and email it to the council using the address above. Be sure to include your name and address and phone number to make a valid objection. if you don't live in Kongwak, perhaps you can reference the fact that you are a regular visitor to our tiny hamlet. Thank you for your support. Due to tight deadlines, it might be necessary for your email to be sent in the next 24 hours.
