As we work through the developers' plans for the mega venue in Kongwak, we have discovered they plan to use mega tanks to store their drinking water and treated sewage effluent at the corner of Brownes Road and Church Road. 69,000 Litre of sewage per week, needs some pretty big tanks ! This will be the new view of Kongwak as seen from our Church which is used regularly for meetings, music and church services.

The big tanks are 1 megalitre each, two for treated sewage effluent and one for drinking water. Right next to each other too ! The "smaller" tanks are for fire fighting water. Conveniently, no 3D view of these tanks was provided in the developers plans - so we have made one for them. 

Considering the height limit in our local Shire, the mega tanks could be up to 9 m tall, and there are restrictions on how deep you can dig, so they're not going to be buried. 

These tanks will be a blight on the landscape of Kongwak. If you care about Kongwak, email an objection now to: development.approvals@transport.vic.gov.au
