We call on the Scottish Government and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to take immediate action to prevent the removal of Kingsway East Fire Station's second fire appliance and crew, and to work with the Fire Brigades Union to ensure that firefighters are properly supported so that they can keep local communities safe.

Kingsway protects some of the most vulnerable communities in Dundee, which includes the 9th most deprived area in Scotland. It also serves a busy dock, our arterial road passes its door and there are numerous play parks, schools, and older tenemental properties, not to mention many empty buildings and a number of factory units, all of which have associated risks.

We need more firefighters and fire appliances NOT less!
