Save Jobs and Dreams!

Save Jobs and Dreams!
The Issue
Remember this Petition? Now it is time to focus on the few remaining Dreams and Jobs in California. Stop the politics and put people first in California. Save their Jobs and their Dreams! It went from 87000 to what?
More than 87000 lives will be affected by current discretionary administrative actions leveled at Corinthian Colleges Inc. by the US Dept. of Education. Among those lives are students, who have placed their hopes and dreams in the competent hands of those delivering the education and those who helped to get them there. Approximately 75000 students will lose their chance to continue on their journey to a new and more prosperous life. Being able to support their families, amounting to approximately 150000 – 300000 relying on their ability support them and grow in a new career.
In addition to those students, the futures of nearly 12,500 people employed by Corinthian Colleges Inc., may now lose their jobs. This would affect 12,500 families who rely on their jobs financially, which amounts to approximately 37,500 – 50000 dependents, including children. The attacks on the institution is a direct attack on those individuals who truly believe in what they are doing to make every life they touch become a rising star. It is an attack on their Integrity, Honor and Professionalism.
There are better ways to work together to resolve issues related to outstanding document request from the Department. We feel that the US Dept. of Education has failed to recognize the success of those students, numbering in the 100,000’s if not millions, who have graduated from one of CCi’s campuses thanks to the dedication of those at the campuses and leadership and gone on to better and more productive lives.
It is for this reason, that we submit this petition to end all sanctions that would contribute to the financial distress of employee’s, their families, and students. The end to these discretionary administrative actions take effect immediately and an immediate compromise be reached to ensure the quality of education continues at Corinthian College Inc. Campuses and those who deliver the services be recognized for their dedications to the students.
We further submit, that new policies and procedures by the US Department of Education be adopted to take into consideration the actions that such discretionary administrative actions in the future with any Private For Profit Institution could have on the down line.
