As I just found out, the JCPenney at Fashion Valley Mall is closing in October of 2025. Although I am not a resident of San Diego or the vicinity, it is absolutely critical that this store stay open. It is a major employer for the city, providing jobs to many local residents and contributing significantly to the local economy. Additionally, JCPenney serves as a core anchor at Fashion Valley Mall and offers more affordable options compared to its upscale competitors.

The store also features two vintage Montgomery elevators from the 1970s, which are unique pieces of history worth preserving. Personally, I love shopping at JCPenney for its affordable sunglasses and other great deals.
