edited to add: every school in Franklin is absolutely wonderful and we would be lucky to be in any of them! I have friends in so many different schools and my intention was NOT to be-little anyone. Feelings are just strong right now for the school that my kids are attending and we are limited on time for a response. I’m trying my best to stand up for my kids.

I am a parent with children who attend the highly-rated J F Kennedy School in Franklin, Massachusetts. This school is not just an institution, but also the heart of our neighborhood, fostering education and community spirit. Our school has consistently achieved one of the highest education ratings, a testament to its commitment to quality education and student development.

However, our beloved school is now under threat of closure. This would not only disrupt my children's learning journey but also impact hundreds of other students who rely on this institution for their educational needs.

Closing down such a high-performing school doesn't make sense. It will rob our children of their right to quality education and destroy the fabric of our community that has been woven around this institution over years.

Although we appreciate the master plan that has been shared, there needs to be significantly more time for community response before the vote on May 14th.
