The safety of our community is being threatened.

The vacant lot at 127 & 139 West Main Street in Hyrum is threatened by the development of a 13-unit hotel. This hotel would include restaurants, shops, office space, a retention pond and a 54 space parking lot.

This proposed development will directly affect the safety of our families, the surrounding environment, and the historical value of Hyrum’s Historic Main Street.

Bright lights will disturb the currently peaceful evening environment, asphalt from the parking lot will increase the surrounding temperature, raising costs to homeowners. Traffic will increase not only on Main street, but on the surrounding streets. Most importantly, the transient people that a hotel will undoubtedly bring threaten the nearby elementary school, middle school, and preschools.

We urge you to sign our petition to stop the development of this hotel in our neighborhood.
