Let’s make some noise for more Girls5Eva!!

On March 14, 2024, Netflix launched the 3rd season of Girls5Eva, which was originally an NBC Peacock series 2-season run, about “a one-hit-wonder girl group from the 1990s that gets sampled by a young rapper. Its members reunite to give their pop star dreams one more shot -- this time while balancing spouses, kids, jobs, debt, aging parents, and knee pain.” The series stars Sara Bareilles, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Paula Pell, and Busy Philipps.

While we are very thankful that Netflix gave the show another chance and even added the first two seasons to their platform, we as a community feel like the show has much more to give. Netflix has not officially cancelled the show, but also has not renewed it for a season 4. We thought, why not show Netflix how much we love this show by making some noise!

Girls5Eva received rave reviews from multiple news outlets, but the viewing numbers didn’t reflect how passionate the fans of the show are, and we feel like the show deserves another push to help it succeed and reach more viewers. In fact, Girls5Eva has been added to many lists featuring top shows for 2024.


The short six episode Netflix season, was not enough to tell the stories of these four amazing women. Take catchy earworm-heavy songs, a high rate of jokes per minute (reminiscent of 30 Rock), add in huge heart and you get something we really need these days.

Girls5Eva is a show that reminds us that it’s never too late to live your dreams, and that you don’t have to conform to societal norms that limit us from achieving our goals just because you’re not the right shape, age, or gender. It also depicts women genuinely supporting women, uplifting each other, and love making music together. Discovering that it’s okay to enjoy the medium time instead of chasing massive fame (not that there’s anything wrong with that). It’s not often you find a hard comedy that is so grounded and relatable.

The cast fell in love with each other in the process of making the show and all really want to do more. Another season. A movie. A variety show. A live concert. All four stars would be all in. With this petition, we hope to show them that fans also want more (‘coz 4eva is too short).
