To Whom It May Concern,

We were disappointed to learn that all three of the proposed modernization designs for the new George Mason Elementary School include significant encroachment into the George Mason Park and existing green space.  We, the neighbors of George Mason School and George Mason Park, believe that any new school building and surrounding playground spaces should be built on the existing school site and NOT extend into the natural grass and green space of the beloved George Mason Park.  The park is used by groups across the city for soccer games, football practices, baseball games, scouting events, and so much more. This green space is a tremendous asset in our city and we need to preserve it.  As neighbors of this park, we ask for a design plan that allows the park to remain and uses the existing school site.
