Save Forza Motorsport (2023): Give us the Offline Progression Patch.
The Issue
Our long-time community of fans deserves better. Microsoft should be held accountable for preserving the last game of the Forza Motorsport franchose, instead of letting all of it dissappear when they decide to shutter its servers.
Was the game perfect? No. But that doesn't mean it should be taken away from those of us who invested our money and dedicating countless hours to playing the game.
With the flip of a switch, the entire progression system - the first in the franchise to be entirely tied to server connection - can be taken down in an instant. Our entire car collections and achievements reduced to limited rental cars and a handful of tracks once offline, and Microsoft has given us no concise plan to address it.
The precent has already been set, with Ubisoft already implementing an offline mode into "The Crew 2" and, in the near future, "The Crew Motorfest". This was a result of backlash again shuttering "The Crew" which had the same type of progression. If Ubisoft proved it can commit to the same endeavor, as a smaller corporation, then Microsoft has more than enough resources to ensure the same preservation for Forza Motorsport.
If we don't speak out, Forza Motorsport as we know it - the time, effort, money, and memories invested into it - will be reduced to a meager shell of its former self, 95% of the game gone forever.
