Festival Meadow is a unique and pastoral gem that sits across from iconic Sun Valley barn. The meadow is an intrinsic part of the Gateway to Sun Valley, a unique open space that must be protected and preserved - not developed by the City.

The City's plan to develop this meadow would violate the first goal in the City of Sun Valley's latest (2015) comprehensive plan: “Preserve and Protect Natural and Scenic Resource, the Environment, and Open Spaces”

Once developed, this majestic gateway space would be forever changed and altered. Why is the City so eager to contradict its plan and develop this well-used open space?

This petition was started by Sun Valley residents, taxpayers, and homeowners. Initial agitator: Thomas Goetz, whose father visited Sun Valley on Army leave way back in 1946, and whose family has been in the area for more than 50 years.
