Save "Exxie" From Abuse and Bring Her To A Safe Loving Home

The Issue

If there’s any time to bring the community together in support of animal care, it’s now. I don't usually post, but on Nov 4th we rescued an obviously abandoned Shepard that was tied up for over 5 hours without water in front of BLACKBIRD books. We took the sweet girl to the Vet. They checked her chip (she had no tags)and made numerous calls to the owner. No response. She was starving and very dirty. Miraculously, one of the vet technicians fell in love with her and continued to take care of her for the past 10 days. Now, the ACC has asked her to return the dog since the owner is just now surfacing. Being a responsible woman, she did. The dog was showing severe distress as she entered the ACC building… the dog suddenly became nervous and whimpering. She knew the place all too well. Oddly, many ACC staff knew the dog by her name, Exxie. So, obviously she has been brought in several times. The owner, Thomas called the Vet tech in a very hostile way… clearly dysfunctional and toxic with a horrible temper. Clearly, this dog needs help. She cannot be in possession of this person. My ask: if you have seen this dog being mistreated, if you could please come forward. The ACC is holding the sweet girl for 4 days, until our case that the owner is unsuitable to care for this dog is determined. The Vet tech is eager to bring her home and give her the life she so deserves. Her name is Exxie and the unsuitable apparent “owner” is Thomas. But, the rescuer has named her Bea💕since she loves the beach.
