Petition to Roblox Leadership

 

 

We are calling on Roblox to reconsider the removal of cross-game gamepass sales and the introduction of a $5/month requirement for donations with a 1,000 Robux monthly limit. These changes would severely impact donation-based experiences, including PLS DONATE, by removing their core functionality.

 

Why This Matters:

 

Donation-based games rely on cross-game gamepass purchases as their primary system for player support. This system has always been free, accessible, and unlimited for players and creators. Removing it would not simply change these experiences—it would effectively shut them down.

 

Concerns with the Proposed Changes:
While we support efforts to improve safety and reduce abuse on the platform, these changes may not achieve their intended goal. Bad actors can still find alternative ways to bypass restrictions, while legitimate developers and players are disproportionately affected. Most importantly, these changes would eliminate the core systems that donation-based games depend on.

 

Our Request- We respectfully ask Roblox to:

 

Allow cross-game gamepass sales to coexist alongside any new paid donation systems

Reevaluate the $5/month requirement and 1,000 Robux limit

Work with developers to create solutions that improve safety without removing essential features

Our Message:

We value Roblox and the opportunities it provides to creators and players. We believe in the platform’s future and its commitment to the community. However, these changes risk harming the creativity and innovation that make Roblox unique.

 

We urge Roblox to reconsider and adopt a balanced approach that protects users while preserving experiences like PLS DONATE.
