For the past three years, DTOR has gone above and beyond to help the community. Due to the proposal of new ordinances, the park is now in danger of closing. The folks that operate DTOR gave back just last year when the same tornado's that destroyed Henryville, IN leveled the Milton Fire Department's station. They stepped up to raise money to rebuild the fire department. DTOR invites the Fire Department to come on weekends to sell food on his site which generates a large percentage of their annual operating budget. The owner Joe personally renamed a trail after a young boy who was killed in an accident on Interstate 71 because of how much he liked to ride at DTOR. Joe even invited all his grieving family to a memorial ride around his park, and gave rides to the family in his buggy.
