SAVE DIRECT DART FROM HOWTH, SUTTON & BAYSIDE TO DUBLIN CITY CENTRE AND SOUTHBOUND

The Issue

We the undersigned wish to express our support for the retention of the DIRECT DART service from Howth, Sutton and Bayside stations to Dublin city centre and on southbound. We wish to retain this service at all times, including peak times.

We wish to express our strong opposition to Dart Coastal North proposals to downgrade our public transport dart service to a shuttle service to Howth Junction and having to change Darts at said station.

The Dart Coastal North proposals are contrary to NTA stated policy of making public transport more accessible to all, especially to older people and those with impaired mobility.

The beyond chronic traffic congestion on the approach roads to Howth and Sutton and on the peninsula itself make it
imperative that public transport to the area should be improved and not downgraded.

Consideration should be given to the fact that the Howth Sutton peninsula is a major tourist destination for visitors from home and abroad.

The present Dart Coastal North proposals as they relate to Howth, Sutton and Bayside (Consultation Stage2) should be rejected by Dart Coastal North, the NTA, and the Minister for Transport.

Please note that the Howth Sutton Community Council are NOT asking for any contributions for this campaign either to the community council or change.org. We only want your signature.
