After 5 years in business with the Mayor's consent, the Village wants to get rid of my home based business that helps so many! 

I currently have over 200 clients that depend on me either for doggie daycare or pet sitting while there are out of town. They love the at-home atmosphere rather than the metal crates at typical big and commercial daycare/overnight businesses.

"Cozy-Pawz is a completely different company and a big part is because it is in your home. There are no cages with cement floors. The dogs are allowed to lay on the furniture & on the bed, just as we would let them at home. There is no doubt our dogs are receiving the same love and care like they would at home. We know you truly care about every animal entrusted to you."

This is my livelihood, my life and my new career. I was an accountant for 25 years and was never really accepted / happy. This career brings me joy, reduces anxiety and depression. A lot of wonderful dog owners will be without a safe, loving place to bring their dogs. There are no other places like this in Romeoville. We devote our lives to these clients/dogs and we can not let them down. My neighbors directly next two me (I only have 2) are supportive of my business and they have no issues.

The Village of Romeoville Code Enforcer came to my door/call me and let me know that my business isn’t allowed in my house. This comes 5 (!) years after I have been doing it and had previously talked with the Mayor in 2018. I have 2 weeks to "fix" the problem.  At this time, we cannot afford a brick and mortar building, but are looking at residential/commercial places that I could create the same home environment for my clients in the future.
