Cottonwood 4 Cinemas isn’t just a theater—it’s a cultural cornerstone of Chilliwack. With Pauline and Cathy retiring and the threat of permanent closure (or even redevelopment), we risk losing one of the last places in our community that brings people together for affordable, accessible entertainment. 

 TIME IS RUNNING OUT. Cottonwood 4 Cinemas—Chilliwack’s beloved cultural hub—is set to close permanently on June 30, 2025

This petition isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s proof that Chilliwack values its arts and culture. We’re calling on:  

- The owners to consider selling or transitioning the theater to community stewardship.  

- City Council to explore heritage protections or incentives to preserve the space.  

- Local businesses and investors to help fund a sustainable future for Cottonwood.  

We have just 1.5 months to act. Once Cottonwood 4 Cinemas is gone, it’s gone for good. But if we show overwhelming public support NOW, we can: 

✅ Show that Chilliwack supports the arts and wants to keep its theaters alive.  

✅ Prove there’s public demand to potential buyers, nonprofits, or the city.  

✅ Send a message: Replacing our cinema with another development isn’t the only option!
