Dear Cottonfields Community Members,
In June, we held a community meeting to discuss our proposed plans for redevelopment of the golf course property, which includes a redesigned golf course and new residences. Our proposed development plans have evolved significantly in collaboration with the community and we believe we have created a conceptual plan that will offer a unique and special golf experience and will deliver value to the Cottonfields community.
As we have discussed, in order to accomplish the golf course redevelopment we must amend the agreement that exists between the golf course property and the Cottonfields community, which is known as a Reciprocal Easement and Maintence Agreement (REMA).
Since our last meeting we have been working on the framework of a REMA amendment that will allow for redevelopment while continuing to provide protections and assurances for the Cottonfields community regarding the new golf course and development of the proposed new residences.
We are excited to share that framework with you and discuss next steps for formally amending the REMA. To that end, we will be hosting a community meeting on Wenesday, August 30th at 6pm in the Clubhouse. We plan to record the meeting for any residents who are unable to attend.
Members of the development team will provide an overview of the REMA amendment framework and be available to answer any questions you may have. As always, we look forward to your input and feedback.
