
As many of you are aware May 1, 2023 Laveen Commission on Responsible Development invited Cottonfields Community HOA members to attend the meeting. The meeting was held inside the Historic Building A. See photo of building above.
What transpired and what was accomplished at the May 1, 2023 meeting? There was a large turnout. By the way, the people who are involved with Laveen Commission on Responsible Development are volunteers. The people in attendance talked about their grievances regarding the proposed golf course redevelopment plan. Laveen 140, LLC. Owner, his lawyer and their golf course architect attended the meeting. Vice President of the Cottonfields Community HOA Board Kesha A. Hodge attended mostly observing the meeting. She did not speak at the meeting.
The overall consensus remains Cottonfields Community Homeowners want their 18 hole golf course restored and absolutely no other development. Laveen 140, LLC. did bring a golf course architect to the meeting. The golf course architect said it could cost $12-$16 million dollars to bring the golf course back.
We believe Laveen 140 LLC. is beginning to figure out Cottonfields Community HOA members are firm about the golf course being restored. What did the May 1st meeting accomplish? Well, the meeting further confirmed Cottonfields Community Homeowners are continuing to come together and are only interested seeing their 18 hole golf course reopened!
