Save Computer Science in EWS

At the Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls, in Ealing we feel that taking away our computer science lessons will damage the foundation of our studies. Our school constantly reminds us about female empowerment and the changing role of women in society. Yet, taking away our computer science lessons will simply hold us back. The problem at heart is a lack of funding in schools and we would like the government to view subjects such as computing as seriously as the core subjects and offer more support to schools offering it as a subject and teaching it a GCSE qualification. Technology is rapidly improving and changing and we feel we should be learning and staying ahead of technology and computers. We hope our message has resonated with you and you will take in to consideration how this will negatively impact our education.
