Save COD MW2 DMZ — Fix the Hacker Crisis Now

The Issue

Call to Action: Activision & Infinity Ward

Call of Duty MW2's DMZ mode has one of the most dedicated and passionate communities in the entire COD franchise. Thousands of players log in daily, streamers continue to create content, and the mode has built a loyal player base that genuinely loves what DMZ offers a unique extraction experience unlike anything else in the COD lineup.

But right now, that community is being destroyed — not by Activision's competitors, but by hackers and cheaters who are crashing lobbies every single match, on every server, every day. Players cannot complete a single game without being forcibly kicked by a malicious crash exploit. This has been ongoing for months with zero response or acknowledgement from Activision.

This is not a small bug. This is a full breakdown of the game's stability.

We understand that MW2 is no longer the newest title. We understand that Black Ops 6 is the current focus. But DMZ still has a living, breathing community that deserves basic server protection and anti-cheat coverage. The RICOCHET anti-cheat system is not addressing crash exploits in DMZ at all, and the shadow ban reporting system requires hundreds of reports per account before any action is taken, making it completely useless against coordinated crashers.

We are asking Activision and Infinity Ward for three things:

1. Acknowledge the crash exploit crisis in DMZ publicly
2. Deploy a fix or patch targeting server-side crash exploits in MW2
3. Extend RICOCHET anti-cheat coverage to actively protect DMZ lobbies

DMZ deserves better. Its community deserves better. We are not asking for new content or new features — we are asking for the basic right to actually play the game we love without it being ruined every single match.

Sign this petition to show Activision that DMZ has a real, active, passionate player base that is worth protecting.
