Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds are used in many of our local communities for important infrastructure, housing and community and economic development projects.  You have probably worked on one or more projects funded by CDBG, and may even live in a community that has directly benefitted from these federal funds. 

The CDBG program is facing serious cuts in both the 2011 and 2012 federal budgets, which means fewer (or none) of these projects will be able to occur.  We are asking for your help in letting our senators and congressmen know how important CDBG is to our jobs and our communities.  By signing this petition, you are sending them a message that this program is valuable to our local economies, by providing jobs, building critical infrastructure, and stimulating the economy.
