Patients of every GP practice in Burntwood, Staffordshire are likely to be negatively affected by the local Integrated Care Board’s decision to close Burntwood Health and Wellbeing GP practice at the end of its current contract in March 2024. It’s 5000+ patients will be dispersed amongst other practices in the area.

The decision made by the Integrated Care Board makes little sense as they propose building a new practice which will not become available until at least 2025 but are closing an existing provision a year earlier.

The decision taken by the Integrated Care Board was made with absolutely no engagement with patients affected by the decision and refusal to discuss possible alternative approaches
