Berkley Maynard Academy, a cornerstone Oakland school, is at risk of closure. Aspire plans on closing the school in a matter of weeks. Closing  Berkley Maynard Academy would displace students, families, and a proven community.
We have a clear, community-backed plan to save and rebuild BMA.

1. Appoint Nik White principal, trusted leader with bold community vision.

2. Retain veteran staff, including Ms. Franco, community heartbeat since day one.

3. Offer stipends attracting Aspire’s best teachers to rebuild BMA together.

4. Welcome GSP families displaced after charter renewal denial to BMA.

5. Engage community voices, identify issues, act quickly to fix everything.
