2.Menghentikan penebangan pokok dan pembersihan hutan yang tidak perlu. 

3.Memelihara habitat hidupan liar dan ekosistem semula jadi

4.Mengurangkan risiko banjir melalui pengekalan kawasan tadahan air semula jadi

5.Meningkatkan kualiti udara dan mengurangkan pencemaran

6.Menyediakan ruang rekreasi sihat untuk keluarga dan kanak-kanak

7.Mengurangkan suhu panas bandar (urban heat)

8.Menggalakkan pembangunan mampan dan bertanggungjawab

Our beloved Ampang green spaces, treasured by so many of us, are at risk as they are being eyed for development into commercial areas. These green sanctuaries are not just patches of land; they are vital parts of our community that provide us with fresh air, natural beauty, and a refuge from the hustle and bustle of city life. Preserving these areas is essential for maintaining our quality of life and ensuring that future generations can enjoy the natural beauty that we cherish today.

These green spaces are home to diverse wildlife that rely on these areas for their habitat. They contribute to the ecological balance and are vital for conserving biodiversity within Ampang. Converting these spaces into concrete jungles could lead to the displacement or even extinction of local flora and fauna, disrupting the natural ecosystem that has thrived here for years.

Moreover, green spaces play a critical role in combatting climate change by acting as carbon sinks. They help to reduce pollution and lower urban temperatures, making our community more resilient in the face of global climate challenges. Removing these green lungs could lead to more drastic weather patterns and contribute to the global climate crisis.

Beyond their environmental benefits, these spaces serve as places for community gatherings, recreation, and mental health retreats. They offer a peaceful environment for children to play, families to bond, and individuals to find solace in nature.

We must act now to protect these invaluable green spaces. We call on local governments, planners, and developers to reconsider the impact of their plans on our environment and heritage.
