Save 421 Jersey, Quincy, IL

The Issue

Please help us save 421 Jersey in Quincy, IL from demolition.  A demolition permit has been applied for by the business next door that wants to expand to the space occupied by this elegant Italianate-style home that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  This structure also sits next door to another historic home in Quincy, the Dr. Richard Eells home, a well known abolitionist, whose case went all the way to the Supreme Court.  This demolition and construction could also put the Eells House in jeopardy. Discussions with the owners have not been fruitful so we are in need of as many names and addresses on this petition as possible to help sway their decision to destroy this landmark.
