As many current SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) students and staff know, SCAD has moved all their classes online for the Spring 2020 quarter due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

While this decision was made for the best, part of this meant that the graduating class of 2020 had to have their graduation commencement canceled. So many friends and family will not get to see their loved ones walk as a result (especially after paying thousands of dollars to make travel arrangements that are now also canceled). 

As a solution, the class of 2020 wishes to have our commencement rescheduled to a later date before the end of the Spring 2021 quarter once the COVID-19 Pandemic has died down a bit. We want our fellow 2020 bees at all SCAD locations to be given a chance to have this moment everyone has dreamt of for so long.

In addition to the reschedule, we want SCAD to work with companies to give a discount on cap and gown prices as well as graduation tickets as a way of further compensation for the current circumstances.

We want to be able to celebrate all we have accomplished at SCAD, please give us a chance to do so.
