The constant transferring of teachers in and out of our schools isn’t helping the students. They are suffering. They’re not able to build trust and real connections that help them have confidence and security.  Communities need to keep teachers who live in their community teaching in their community schools. When teachers are happy students in turn will be too!  It’s also economical to not have so much travelling happening. Especially now when we need to care about carbon emissions and our impact on the planet. Everything is connected and we want to see our students and teachers succeed by staying together and not transferring teachers ever 5-10 years. 

We want teachers to take the initiative if they want to be transferred. Not the Division. 

We want location of a teacher’s residence to play a significant part in where they teacher. The closer they live to their school the better. 

We want teachers to not be transferred once they’re 5 years to their retirement. 

We want Principals to talk with other Principals in the division to help make sensible transfers when a transfer is necessary. 

We want students and teachers health and happiness to be the priority!!  This is the only thing that should matter!
